Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to your use of RoadLux Vehicle Check at check.roadlux.uk, operated by Road Lux Ltd (company number 08837891, VAT registration number 406558981), registered office Kamp House, 124 Middleton Road, Morden, England, SM4 6RW.

1. Our service

We provide free vehicle and MOT information and paid Full Vehicle History Check reports based on data supplied by official and licensed commercial sources. We are an information service. We do not inspect vehicles, value vehicles, or advise you whether to buy.

2. Free checks

Free checks are provided as a convenience, without charge and without warranty of completeness. Availability may be limited or withdrawn, and reasonable rate limits apply.

3. Paid reports and pricing

A single Full Vehicle History Check is £7.99. Multi-check packs are £12.99 for three checks and £19.99 for six checks. Prices shown at the time of purchase apply and include VAT where applicable.

4. Multi-check packs

Packs are credits held against your RoadLux account. Each report consumes exactly one credit. Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value. Any expiry period will be stated clearly at the time of purchase; if no expiry is stated, none applies.

5. RoadLux+ discounts

RoadLux+ members receive 50% off eligible single Vehicle History Checks, calculated from our standard single-check price. Member discounts are not combined with multi-check packs unless expressly stated.

6. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe on our behalf. We do not receive or store full card numbers or security codes. Where a duplicate charge occurs due to a technical error, we will refund it.

7. Immediate digital content

Reports are digital content supplied immediately. Before purchase you will be asked to confirm that you want immediate supply and to acknowledge that the statutory 14-day cancellation right ends once the report has been generated. Your other statutory rights, including rights where digital content is faulty or not as described, are unaffected.

8. Accounts and guest purchases

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. A single report may be purchased as a guest; multi-check packs require an account. Guest reports can be securely attached to a RoadLux account afterwards.

9. Third-party data and limitations

Reports reflect the records held by our data sources at the time of the check. Records may be incomplete, delayed or, occasionally, inaccurate at source. Absence of a record does not prove that an event has never occurred. Where a source returns nothing, we show "Not available" rather than a clear result.

10. Your responsibility

You should always inspect a vehicle in person, verify the VIN and registration document, and where appropriate obtain an independent mechanical inspection before purchase.

11. Saved reports, PDFs and sharing

Purchased reports are stored as permanent snapshots showing the original check date. Reopening a report, downloading a PDF or sharing a report does not re-run the check and does not produce updated data.

12. Failed report generation

If payment succeeds but a report cannot be generated, your entitlement is preserved, you are not charged again, and we will complete the report or provide a refund where it cannot be completed.

13. Refunds

See our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

14. Acceptable use

You may not use our service unlawfully, to harass or profile individuals, to scrape or resell data, or to circumvent rate limits or payment. We may suspend accounts involved in fraud or misuse.

15. Intellectual property

The RoadLux name, branding, report formats and website content belong to us or our licensors. Reports are licensed for your own personal or internal business use.

16. Availability and liability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, our liability for any single report is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses.

17. Changes

We may update these terms. The version published when you make a purchase applies to that purchase.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to your statutory rights as a consumer.
