Data sources

RoadLux Vehicle Check combines official UK government vehicle data with licensed commercial vehicle history data.

Free checks

Free checks use MOT test and vehicle information published by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) through its official MOT History service. This information is used under the terms permitted by the data provider.

Full Vehicle History Checks

Paid reports additionally use licensed vehicle history data supplied by our commercial data partner. We only name providers we genuinely use and are permitted to identify.

ADMIN MUST COMPLETE BEFORE LAUNCH: confirm provider naming permissions before listing partner names.

No endorsement

References to data sources describe the origin of information only. They do not imply any endorsement, sponsorship or approval of RoadLux Vehicle Check by those organisations.

Accuracy and limitations

Records reflect what our sources held at the time of your check. Some events are never reported, and some are reported late. Where a source returns no value we show "Not available" rather than treating it as a clear result. A report is not a mechanical inspection and does not replace inspecting the vehicle and verifying the VIN in person.
